Carbify User Dashboard
The carbify dashboard allows regular users to interact with the Carbify ecosystem. The carbify ecosystem consists of tokenised tree assets that regular users can purchase and own. It also consists of the tokenised aCO2 tokens, the tree marketplace, the certificate offset tool and much more.
Carbify Business Portal
The Carbify portal is a B2B application allowing businesses to manage their carbify assets and offsets. The portal allows for the purchasing of trees, the purchasing of carbon debits and the generation of carbon offset certificates. Furthermore the panel provides detailed data on tree origins and impact generated by company purchased assets.
Carbify Tree Marketplace
The Carbify tree marketplace allows users to trade tokenised trees with each other and is where carbify releases new tree batches to the public. The marketplace allows sellers to list their tree assets for a fixed price or in an auction. Potential buyers can then place bids or directly purchase one of the existing listings.
Carbify Certification Tool
Carbify enables users to create their own carbon offset certificates. To be able to generate these certificates, users first need to acquire tokenised carbon debit tokens (aCo2). Users can burn these aCo2 tokens to generate a carbon reduction certificate. The certificate represents the offset of CO2 for a specific purpose.
Carbify Carbon Exchange
The Carbify Co2 Exchange allows users to exchange their Co2 for us dollars. Carbify uses the exchange to crowdsource Co2 tokens from it's regular users which it then resells to businesses. The users get paid a portion of the resale value and small fee is kept out for Carbify.
Carbify Tree Overview
The tree overview page allows users to explore data on all the trees Carbify owns and sells. Each tree is visible on a map and includes exact geo coordinates and other metadata. At the top of the page you can see key results Carbify has achieved with the planting of agroforestry systems.
Carbify Leaderboard
The Carbify leaderboard showcases all regular carbify users in a ranked list by most CO2 offset. It's measuring which users have used the most tokenised co2 (aCO2) to generate carbon reduction certificates. Other leaderboards on the page show most certificates created, most aco2 donated and most trees owned.
About The Project
Carbify is a company focused on carbon offsetting and reforestation, offering tools and services that help institutions, businesses, and individuals mitigate their environmental impact by planting trees, tracking that planting, and validating the associated carbon reductions. Carbify emphasizes transparency, scientific rigor, and verifiable impact, by making sure the effects (carbon captured, ecological restoration, social benefits) are real, trackable, and documented.
To date Carbify has planted more than 500.000 agroforestry systems across more than 6 million m2 of area, provided over 26 million kilograms of food, created more than 400 jobs and absorbed more than 36 million kilograms of Co2. We have worked with the Carbify team from late 2022 until late 2025.
Customer Idea & Challenge
Carbify approached us in late 2022 because they needed help developing their core product and advancing their user platform. The core systems powering the Carbify solution run on blockchain technology and were only partially developed at the time they approached us. Their user dashboard was also lacking necessary features, integrations and proper user experience.
Here's a non-comprehensive list of challenges they faced at the time of approaching us:
- They needed a solution to tokenize the Co2 emission offsets generated by their trees.
- They needed a proper way to track and manage the data generated by more than 100k trees they had planted at the time.
- They needed a way to properly manage and sync tree, emissions and blockchain data across their user base.
- They needed multiple tools and internal applications to manage their operation.
Unfortunately their previous development partner left them with poorly working solutions, bad implementations and a shaky technical foundation. We were up for a real challenge to not only fix their existing foundation, but also extend their product with the many new features they had planned to move the business forward.
Solution
We started by fixing some of their existing infrastructure to be more scalable and be able to support the next features we were building. Specifically we started by fixing the way their trees were managed by streamlining them into a common format and solution. Then we added tools to register new trees into the platform in a consistent manner and to be able to track specific tree related data such as the amount of co2 offset in a scalable way. Then we added services to aggregate and service large amounts of tree data to users on the platform.
After that we moved to one of the core features of the platform, the tokenisation of Co2 emissions generated by each tree. This became the aCO2 token that was represented by an ERC-1155 token on the blockchain. We built the smart contract managing asset ownership and traceability to each tree. We built systems to aggregate and manage large amounts of tokenised Co2 tokens and we built a system for companies to purchase these carbon offsets from Carbify's user network in a decentralised carbon pool market.
We have also build an administrative panel for Carbify to manage it's internal operation, a client dashboard where Carbify's B2B partners can manage their assets and see the impact generated, a marketplace for users to trade tokenised ERC-721 trees, the system to generate carbon offset certificates using the tokenised aCO2 tokens, and continuous improvements to their web3 user dashboard (now known as https://sproutlyrwa.com/).
Outcome
As a result of our collaboration and Carbify's own efforts, Carbify has been able to expand it's operation in enabling businesses and people to reduce their carbon footprint and increase their climate impact. Carbify has increased the total number of agroforestry systems it has planted, it's created more carbon debits that companies have bought to offset their carbon footprints and it has helped local communities thrive by creating more jobs and providing more food.
